Essex Pirates & Wickford Knights Basketball Clubs FREE BASKETBALL SESSIONS: -
Free basketball sessions are being held at James Hornsby High School, Basildon, every Thursday from 5 – 7pm as part of a new initiative by Positive Futures. The scheme aims to encourage young people from ages 12 – 19 to play basketball as a way of keeping fit.
There are further sessions every Friday at Markham’s Chase Leisure Centre,
Basildon, from 6 – 8pm, where participants can expect to play basketball as well
as learn new skills and techniques.
The sessions are being provided by Positive Futures in partnership with the
British Basketball League team Essex Pirates and Local club
Wickford Knights. The Pirates are supporting
the scheme by sending down their professional players and coaches to deliver
high quality sessions.
This project is also in conjunction with BaldMC - Urban Education
